Description

United Campus Ministry in Aggieland (UCM) is a joint missionary endeavor of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and the United Church of Christ that is engaged in campus ministry at Texas A&M University and Blinn College’s Bryan campus.  Together, we serve a student population of 60,000 students from throughout the United States.  We are one of 80 religious organizations and one of 900 student organizations on campus at Texas A&M.

Vision

Living in response to Jesus Christ, United Campus Ministry in Aggieland (UCM) seeks to be a Christ-centered, welcoming, ecumenical community which embraces academic development in students.  UCM advocates honoring diversity of thought, faith, and practice.

Mission

The mission of UCM is to offer authentic Christian community with a passion about Micah’s call to “Do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God.”  We will accomplish this through opportunities for spiritual growth, encouraging students to discover their gifts and talents, and empowering them to share them.

Code of Ethics

Our ministry adheres to a strict code of ethics within the university community and the church.  A grounding in Jesus Christ as revealed in Scripture, respect for the academic enterprise, commitment to healthy student growth and a stance against proselytism are among the foundational ethical values of UCM.

Statement of Inclusivity

United Campus Ministry celebrates and affirms that every individual is a beloved child of God. We extend a loving welcome to individuals of every race, ethnicity, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, and faith background.
